If you wondered about the name. I'm a 4th generation native of the state of Colorado. I'm told that my great grandmother (also a native to this state) called Pike's Peak her mountain. It seems I am not the only one that thinks of is as "my mountain". Perhaps it's common when you live at the foot of the local fourteener. Growing up with the peak in my view every day as a child, images of it still remind me of home.
